Last updated: October 2026

Central Locksmiths Gold Coast ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Information we collect

We collect personal information that is necessary to provide our locksmith services, including:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, so we can confirm bookings and respond to enquiries.
  • Service address — the property or vehicle location where work is carried out.
  • Job details — the nature of the lock, access issue or security requirement you describe.
  • Payment information — processed securely through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

Because of the nature of locksmithing, we may also record information that verifies your authority to access a property or vehicle. This is a security measure and is handled confidentially.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide the locksmith service you have requested;
  • Communicate with you about bookings, arrival times and follow-up;
  • Process payments and issue receipts;
  • Maintain records required for security, insurance and licensing purposes; and
  • Respond to your enquiries.

We do not use your personal information for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it only where necessary to provide the service (for example, with a payment processor), where required by law, or where you have consented. Our service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Storage and security

Your information is stored securely and access is restricted to authorised personnel. We retain records for as long as reasonably necessary for security, licensing and legal compliance, then dispose of them securely.

Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may complain to us in the first instance. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
